Highland at RETA 2025: Innovation on Display in Spokane

November 3, 2025

The Highland team is back from a successful week at the RETA National Conference in Spokane, WA. Between technical sessions and connecting on the exhibit hall floor, it was a RETA to remember.

One of the most mentioned topics this year was the industry’s ongoing shift toward CO₂. That made our CO₂ ice machine a natural focal point on the exhibit floor. Built for performance and adaptability, our showcased unit can produce 20,000 lbs of ice per day while maintaining a compact, lightweight footprint ideal for both land-based and marine applications. At the show, its acrylic panels and LED lighting offered a clear view of the system’s inner workings which helped us show off the precision and reliability that define Highland Refrigeration.

Another highlight of the week was a presentation by Mike Wright, Certified Industrial Partners’ lead training instructor, who addressed the growing talent gap in industrial refrigeration. It’s a challenge our entire industry faces, and one we’re committed to helping solve through innovation, training, and partnership. You can download his full white paper here.

RETA 2025 was a reminder of why we do what we do: Build dependable systems, share knowledge, and drive the refrigeration industry forward. We look forward to continuing to connect with those we saw at the show this year and seeing everyone next year in Orlando.
