At Highland Refrigeration, custom-engineered systems are what we do best. In a recent multi-partner project, our ability to deliver a precision-built compressor skid proved critical to the overall project success.

A valued client needed a specialized solution for their Illinois facility that wouldn’t fit an off-the-shelf solution. With tight space constraints and performance goals in mind, a custom compressor skid was the clear answer. What could have been a complicated challenge across multiple regions became a coordinated success through Certified Industrial Partners (CIP).

The project began with North American Refrigeration in Florida. This is where the North American Refrigeration team first developed a trusting relationship with this customer. With this project being based in the Midwest, they referred the customer to Preston Refrigeration, who managed demolition, installation, and startup. With the infrastructure in place, Highland Refrigeration was brought in to design and deliver a custom multi-screw compressor skid that was containerized for space savings, energy efficiency, and ease of installation.

Because of Highland’s strong supply chain and experience working with bare GEA compressors, we were able to engineer and build a solution that saved the customer over 25,000 cubic feet of engine room space, all while increasing system capacity and reliability.
